Product Planner
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-driven individual to step into the role of Product Planner. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity, based on-site at our Head Office in Palmerston North.
As part of our Product Planning team, you will be responsible for the planning of new Toyota, GR and Lexus products entering the New Zealand market. You will have direct input into market research, product strategy, vehicle specification and line-up. You will work strategically to establish and optimise Toyota New Zealand’s Toyota, GR and Lexus vehicle line-ups by recommending vehicle specifications and strategies across the models life cycle.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding customer and market needs and identifying products that meet or exceed these needs and expectations
- Identifying new opportunities within the new vehicle market and working towards achieving incremental growth while reducing emissions for Toyota New Zealand by matching these opportunities with available product
- Keeping up to date with current and proposed legislation to ensure product offerings align with NZ regulations
- Preparing and presenting detailed product proposals
- Reviewing the clarity and accuracy of product related content in marketing materials prior to release/publication, and providing input to marketing briefings
- Supporting New Vehicle launches, developing materials and presenting to dealers and press as required
To be successful, ideally you will have:
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel/Powerpoint skills focused on data formatting & visualisation
- The ability to work with and interpret data
- A high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to formulate recommendations and be able to present these at a high level
- A proactive, can-do, team-focused attitude
- Interest in automotive industry and products
