 Senior Finance Business Partner Role specific areas of responsibility • Oversee the preparation of divisional budgets and provision of information for inclusion in the Business Plan. • Coordinate the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes across the business and manage the ongoing maintenance of budgets from a reporting and system perspective including partnering with the business to support delivery. • Develop and effectively communicate strategic insights to support planning at the executive level, influencing actions undertaken within the business to ensure alignment to strategic and key performance drivers, driving maximum value for both short-term and long-term objectives in the organisation. • Produce the monthly management financial reporting as well as quarterly Board reporting, providing commentary and insights to support decision making. • Partner with the business (GMs and department Heads Of) to assist in understanding their financial result, the management of their budget and to support decision making. This includes providing business units and general management with financial tracking and advice against performance outcomes both financial and strategic through monthly reporting, with commentary and insights to support decision making. • Ensure accuracy of departmental accounts in the general ledger including managing allocations between departments to support financial control environment. • Modelling and evaluation of the financial assumptions and implications of divisional initiatives. • Effectively partner with the wider business to provide financial support and advice including on projects and identify opportunities to improve financial performance. • Enhance process efficiencies where possible across all areas of responsibility. Role dimensions • Reports to: Head of Financial Information & Insights • Department: Financial Services • Direct Reports: N/A • Financial Authority: No Person specifications • Tertiary degree level qualification in Accounting or Finance (CA or CPA qualification preferred). • 5+ years’ experience in business partnering or similar role, with proven management reporting and accounting experience in a commercial environment. • Strong financial and commercial acumen and proven track record working in large, complex environments. • Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly, tailoring communications to meet the audience. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with strategic and critical thinking capability. • Strong capability in Microsoft suite including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. • TechOne or similar system knowledge preferred. • Financial services industry specific experience would be advantageous.
